Meet Michael Eigen!

Michael Eigen has successfully navigated the world of small business retail for more than twenty years. Starting out in New York’s famed Diamond District, his first store Michael Eigen Precious Jewels became one of the first to feature up and coming American designers. He was recognized by peers and clients alike for his keen eye and ability to foresee trends. Eventually, he moved his store to Madison Avenue which is where he also established Premier Cru Wine Merchants, one of the finest and most forward-thinking wine stores in Manhattan. 

Michael holds many trade certifications in both the jewelry and wine fields. He has been a WSET trained wine educator for over 15 years and has written extensively for both trade journals and consumer magazines and has been invited to speak at major industry trade shows. He has helped retailers and importers identify markets and develop best business practices. In addition, Michael is a founding member and former vice president of the Diamond District Business Improvement District. 

Michael Eigen is passionate about wine and luxury and is eager to share this zeal with you, your staff, clientele, and community.

Michelle grew up in New Jersey where the dinner table often had a mash up of dishes like arroz con pollo with a side of baked ziti. Both Mom and Dad have a diverse background coming from Puerto Rico, Cuba, Italy and the former Czech Republic. 

Today, Michelle has accumulated over 15 years of experience in the wine industry across a number of areas including sales, marketing, events, hospitality, education and training. In November 2020, she accepted a position as National Sales Director for Out East, a lifestyle wine company whose portfolio contains a Cote de Provence Rose, Brut Champagne and soon, a new project in Hermitage.

A lifelong career New Yorker, Michelle is now officially based in Seattle as of Summer 2020 but plans to split her time in New York City in 2021.

Michelle has her first level of certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers (CMS) and is currently enrolled in the diploma program at the WSET (Wine & Spirits Education Trust) where she already has earned her Intermediate and Advanced Certificate; both passed with distinction.

Michelle is an active diploma student at the Wine & Spirits Trust (WSET) and is an active fundraiser for various Napa and Sonoma organizations that support firefighters as a result of the 2017 and 2020 fires. Her biggest passion is connecting with wine enthusiasts at all levels; imparting knowledge and always, always learning.
